We are so happy to be among all the USA Good Food Award recipients, which were recently announced. In November of last year, we learned we were a finalist for our Brown Teff Grain and we were humbled when the winners were awarded. Although this year’s winners–which were selected after “a blind tasting of thousands of entries before passing a further sustainability and social responsibility vetting process”–came from 39 states and Washington, D.C., Desert Oasis was the only winner selected from the state of Nevada (yes, northern AND southern Nevada!). Last week the Nevada Department of Agriculture issued a press release that can be read here.
Thank you to all who have supported our small business and thank you to everyone who enjoys our products (we’ve always thought they were delicious, and now we have an award to show others do too!). And lastly, a very special thanks to Dillion Davidson from the Nevada Department of Agriculture.
